Can I buy travel insurance after booking my trip?
Yes! You can purchase travel insurance even after booking or while already overseas. However, if you buy after departure, a 72-hour waiting period applies.

Will travel insurance cover existing medical conditions?
World Nomads automatically covers over 40 existing conditions when certain criteria are met. Other conditions may not be covered. Review your Policy Document carefully and disclose any conditions upfront.

Does travel insurance cover pandemics or epidemics?
World Nomads does not cover losses from pandemics or WHO-declared public health emergencies. However, some COVID-19-related events may be covered depending on your plan. Learn more about COVID-19 coverage here.

Can I cancel my policy and get a refund?
You can cancel your policy for a full refund before 11:59 PM NZST/NZDT the day before departure if:
- You haven’t started your trip.
- You haven’t made a claim.
- You don’t plan to make a claim. Sign into your account to cancel or contact us for help.
Just sign into your account, choose your policy and follow the links to cancel before your policy Departure date. Note: Refunds are not provided for unused policy portions if you return home early.
