Meet Ed Salvato
LGBTQ+ travel expert
Freelance travel writer Ed Salvato (pronouns he/him) has visited 75 countries and counting. He writes for a wide range of print and digital publications. Ed was editor-in-chief of the best-known gay travel magazines OUT&ABOUT, OUT Traveler and ManAboutWorld. Ed is an LGBTQ+ travel expert providing marketing strategy to global tourism, hospitality, travel, and meeting industries. He founded and runs the LGBTQ+ Travel Pavilion at the Travel & Adventure Show. He’s co-author of the Handbook of LGBT Tourism & Hospitality Marketing published by Columbia University Press. Ed’s also a Professor of Marketing at NYU’s Tisch Center of Hospitality in New York City and alecturer at the University of Texas at Red McCombs School of Business (at its NYC Center).
