We know the most unexpected things can happen when traveling - sex accidents, malaria, chikungunya. We've even heard of coral being firmly lodged in a traveller's bum after a surfing accident.
So we've built our policies to help cover as many of those unexpected situations as we can. All of our policies have cover for:
World Nomads travel insurance also:
World Nomads can offer benefits for medical issues related to Coronavirus (COVID-19). If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 while overseas and it’s not considered an ‘existing medical condition’ under our policy, your benefits may include:
In addition, our Explorer Plan also has a Coronavirus Travel Costs benefit for certain events. You can check out our Coronavirus cover article which has all of the details, including benefit limits and exclusions.
We've seen some pretty strange things on the road. Some of the exclusions include:
This is only a summary of coverage and does not include the full terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions of the policy. You should read your Policy Document in full so you understand what is and isn’t covered. That way there won’t be any surprises if you need to use it. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
I was walking home after a Spanish class at about 4.30pm. I had my shoulder bag strap across my body, so I felt it was pretty safe - as I had my computer inside. I had walked down this street many ti mes before and never had any problems. As I was waling a felt a strong pull on my bag, I tryed to grab it as I turned to see what was happening, but in a second it was gone. And, a man was running down the street with it - my bag. He had cut the strap from behind me with a knife and grabbed it. I called for help, and tried to call for help but it all happened so fast, before I knew it he was gone with my bag.
