I don't have receipts for my personal items. Can I still make a travel insurance claim?

Yes, you can!

We all lose receipts no matter how hard we try to keep them organized. And sometimes we find a safe place for them and then forget where that place is.

But not to worry – there are ways to recover receipts or submit alternative documentation that show proof of ownership such as photographs, warranty cards, and credit and bank statements.

At the time of your baggage loss claim, you should try your best to provide a list of what was in your bag and, if possible, a picture of you with your baggage. And just as luck happens, you may find your missing receipts after you’ve submitted your claim. If this is the case, it’s not too late to send them.

For more detailed information, read our article, “What happens if I don’t have some of the documents you ask for?" And contact us if you have any questions related to your claim.

This is only a summary of coverage and does not include the full terms and conditions of the policy. It is important you read and understand your policy as it contains benefits, conditions, exclusions and pre-existing condition exclusions. If you do not understand your coverage or if you have questions, just ask us.
