This photograph was taken at first light on an abandoned farm close to hofn in east Iceland. I wanted to capture the harsh reality of farming vs the elements and how in this case, climate won.

This was a long shot of the farm to put it into context. Here I used the track to draw the eye into the photograph and towards the farm. I wanted to capture these photographs at first light, during the blue hour, to emphasise the cold and harshness of the of the climate.

Finally a picture of a lone figure emerging from a snow storm down on the beach. The figure serves to add scale to this harsh enviroment and mans struggle against the elements.
