Once a year, in some Galician villages, wild horses who live free in the mountain are gathered and led to an arena called "Curro". Even when the horses are not physically damaged, they suffer from great stressSome of the villagers, called "Aloitadores", try to subdue the horses with they barehands, in this ancient tradition: Rapa das BestasIn groups of three, the "Aloitadores" grab the head and the tail of the horse, and take it downThe villagers proclaime that the objective is to cut the mane of the horses, in order to delouse them and avoid them to tangled with the bushesThis tradition has been passed on from generations, and still is a proof of the maturity of the young ones
