Here’s what you can and can't do as a World Nomads affiliate
We know how hard it can be to make travel insurance sound exciting. However, it’s your job, as well as ours, to make sure travelers are not misled by the travel insurance content on your website or by any other information you provide as an affiliate. These guidelines are here to help you share information about travel insurance with this in mind.
An affiliate, also known as a referrer or introducer, is a person or company that World Nomads holds an agreement with who refers a consumer to us and receives a referral fee for every confirmed travel insurance quote. This referral can be done through a web link, or other content supplied by us that mentions World Nomads in conjunction with information about travel insurance, or simply providing the consumer with our contact details.
As an affiliate of World Nomads, you are not licensed or authorised to act on our behalf to provide financial services. Even if you hold other authorizations/licenses to sell insurance products, you are bound by our affiliate agreement.
As a World Nomads affiliate, you can only:
Affiliates must use the content we provide as it is factual, meaning it’s an accurate description of the travel insurance products we provide and can be supported by evidence that proves the information to be true. Just cut and paste this approved content from CJ and you’re ready to go. If your travelers have questions, our customer service team can help. We promise that we'll take good care of them.
Global insurance regulation around what affiliates can and can’t say is pretty strict for a reason, and it’s up to you as an affiliate, as well as us as the insurance provider, to comply with these regulations.
We have developed the following content guidelines to help ensure you stay within our affiliate requirements and reduce the likelihood you may inadvertently breach any financial services law. Strict penalties can apply for breaches of financial services law, so it is important you understand and follow our content guidelines. If you have any questions, you can reach out to us at wnpartners@worldnomads.com

You can only tell customers you are a World Nomads affiliate, that World Nomads provides travel insurance, and that you receive a fee for any quotes generated from the World Nomads affiliate link you provide.
You cannot say things like “get travel insurance from us" as this implies that you are a licensed agent. Watch out for words like “us”, “our”, “we”, and using your company's name alongside the insurance product. You cannot say: "what we cover"; "we'll cover you", or “we're here to help".
You also need to be careful not to present your logo or branding on any approved World Nomads affiliate copy.

You cannot misrepresent or overstate the insurance product, terms, benefits, or future dividends (i.e claims paid) of any insurance product. Watch out for words like “comprehensive” or “great value”, or phrases such as “World Nomads is the best insurance”.

c. The specifics of the insurance - "plan xyz has the best coverage"
If you are making referrals by email, you can only include in those emails information that has been provided by World Nomads for use in the affiliate program. If you want to include any additional information or messaging, that will first need to be reviewed and approved by us.

You cannot provide a consumer with the policy wording/description of coverage, as it may change from time to time, and your information may be out of date from the time you provide it to the consumer, to when it is read or used by the consumer to make a decision to purchase. Please refrain from writing your own travel insurance content and instead use the templates we have provided for you on CJ. Any bespoke content must be sent to us for review and final approval before publishing. This will ensure it is accurate and factual and will not potentially mislead customers or misrepresent World Nomads travel insurance. This helps protect you from potential breaches and fines.
Via the CJ platform we have made available a wide range of template copy and assets to choose from when creating your travel insurance affiliate links. We’re working on developing an even wider choice of content templates suitable for different audiences based on travel intent, as well as popular destinations and activities. We welcome suggestions and feedback to help us create more useful templates for affiliates.
